I am Robert Schmidt, a professional with over 15 years of experience across both the public and private sectors. My background spans local and state government as well as small and large private enterprises, particularly within the warehousing and construction industries.
Drawing on this diverse industry experience, alongside formal education undertaken through TAFE and ongoing studies in a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Political Science and International Relations, I offer a broad and robust skill set. I bring an empathetic, hands-on approach to strategic thinking and decision-making, underpinned by an understanding of organisational dynamics, public policy, and the interface between government and business.
My career to date has equipped me with practical operational insight, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a strong appreciation of governance and compliance requirements. Combined with my academic pursuits, this enables me to analyse complex environments, contribute to evidence-based policy and strategy, and support effective collaboration between public institutions and private sector organisations.
